Production Test Technician Level 2P

Our client, a Manufacturing Conglomerate company, is looking for a Production Test Technician Level 2P for their East Setauket, NY location. Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

Our client, a Manufacturing Conglomerate company, is looking for a Production Test Technician Level 2P for their East Setauket, NY location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
• Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
• Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
• May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
• Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
• May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
• Frequently interacts with peers and customers (typically internal) to exchange or present factual information.
• Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
• Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
• Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
• Client will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

• Safe use of manual tools, power tools and machinery, live power and energized equipment
• Basic computer literacy
• Basic ability to read, write and speak English

• Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Able to re-prioritize and adapt frequently
• A minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 3 years of verified related experience
