Production Supervisor (Missouri)

STS Technical Services is hiring a Production Supervisor in Wentzville, Missouri.

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers. This role requires strong leadership skills, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to drive improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and overall product quality.

Job Responsibilities

• Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing data to detect and resolve production issues
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff while addressing and resolving personnel grievances
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records

Required Skills

• Strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for efficient manufacturing and distribution
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance
• Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles for precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate degree in business or related field preferred
• 10 years of relevant experience required
