Job Details

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily poultry processing and packaging activities to meet production schedules.
• Assign work, balance staffing, and communicate shift priorities and expectations.
• Train and coach employees on operating procedures, safe work practices, and product specifications.
• Enforce GMPs, sanitation procedures, HACCP requirements, and applicable USDA standards.
• Monitor productivity, product yields, labor utilization, waste, and downtime.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to address food safety concerns and product deviations.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues and minimize interruptions.
• Maintain accurate production, attendance, training, and safety records.
• Identify improvements that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen team performance.
• Promote a respectful workplace and address employee concerns consistently.

Qualifications

• Previous production leadership experience in food manufacturing; poultry or meat processing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
• Strong employee coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing staffing, production priorities, and performance expectations.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated food processing environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or technical training preferred.
