What if your measurements changed the whole shift?
Picture this: you spot a subtle trend in your inspection data before it becomes a defect. You verify with calibrated tools, collaborate with production to adjust the process, open a corrective action, and keep customer shipments on schedule. If that sounds like your kind of impact, read on.
The mission
Ensure consistent product quality by validating materials, in-process work, and finished goods—without slowing flow—while building a reliable data picture of process health.
Your core responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and tests at key points in manufacturing to confirm compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Balance precision with pace—safeguard product integrity while maintaining production rates.
- Record results, trend critical inspection metrics, and create clear inspection reports in Excel and Word.
- Initiate and monitor corrective and preventive actions using sound technical judgment and structured problem solving.
- Train production personnel in inspection techniques and quality procedures as needed.
- Keep inspection equipment and other critical tools calibrated and maintained on schedule.
- Work across departments to resolve inspection issues quickly and effectively.
- Escalate quality or compliance concerns immediately.
- Operate within our Quality and Environmental Management Systems and support internal and external ISO audits.
- Take on other related duties to support quality and delivery commitments.
