Job Title: Production Manager
Department: Production

JOB SUMMARY
The Production Manager will play an essential role in leading manufacturing and production operations. This position will oversee production staff in addition to providing leadership to meet company goals and leading a company focused business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee and manage the entire production process, focuses on production throughput.
· Responsible for managing production schedule and secondary vendor management in production.
· Ensure production targets are met, and the product is manufactured to the highest quality standard.
· Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing production team, ensuring optimal performance.
· Investigate and address any issues or complaints related to product quality.
· Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary to avoid any disruptions in the production process.
· Responsible for assigning work, checking work, releasing product, ensuring compliance with the quality management program (ISO 9001:2015) and maintaining an organized work environment.
· Responsible for managing sales orders in a single location and identifying each job at each table. Responsible for organization and cleanliness of production area.
· Ultimately responsible for all quality results in the production area.
· Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, issues, and accomplishments.
· Responsible for the management of on-time delivery of all production orders.
· Coordination with sales team to ensure production time estimates are accurate and ensures we can meet customer requirements including delivery schedule. Communicates with sales as needed for each job.
· Regularly holds production meetings with sales & production for purposes of planning.
· Updates and closes out all jobs accurately in SalesForce upon completion.
· Manages production throughput & rework ensuring on-time delivery of all production orders (Goal is ≥ 95% on-time delivery).
· Manages all jobs on floor and is central point of contact between sales and production.
· Reviews sales order to ensure everything has been accounted for and we have the product and inventory to complete work. Noting all issues and provide to sales immediately.
· Responsible for documenting inventory and ensuring product is moved out the system immediately.
· Responsible for managing all production vendor services for all jobs.
· Responsible for maintaining shop consumables and organization of consumables in the production area.
· Performs any other required duties as assigned to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage the production team to include leading, and guiding as well as conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
· Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
· Address any unsafe acts or conditions to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
· Ability to build relationships at various levels and influence decisions.
· Experience in leading teams.
· Experience in managing production schedule.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
· Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Understands interdepartmental processes. With the understanding that when processes aren’t followed it can affect the way other department’s function.
· Understands the importance of organizational resources including inventory, tools, machinery, test equipment, forklifts, paint booths, etc.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, , or related field preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.

EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY
· Introductory -- Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employee has sufficiently met and performed the job requirements, and will indicate whether employment will continue
· Annual Reviews – Employee will be given a formal regular annual review, which assesses productivity and demonstrated business skills and accomplishments for the previous period.
WORK SCHEDULE
As this is an exempt position, it is expected to achieve production goals and objectives. Minimum attendance requirements will be dictated by the schedule of the team being managed to ensure proper supervisory coverage. Adherence to attendance and coverage policies is expected to be followed diligently. Employee is expected to come to work on time and adhere to accepted time-off policies.
