Groundworks is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit Administrator to join our Albuquerque team. This position plays a critical role in supporting our operations by managing permit applications, tracking approvals, coordinating with municipalities, and ensuring permits are properly closed out upon project completion.

Responsibilities

• Apply for and manage residential and commercial permits
• Coordinate with local municipalities, inspectors, and permitting agencies
• Track permit status and ensure timely approvals
• Schedule inspections and assist with permit close-outs
• Maintain permit records and project documentation
• Support branch operations with administrative and clerical tasks
• Communicate with customers, project managers, and field personnel regarding permit requirements
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and municipal regulations

Qualifications

• Previous permitting, construction administration, or municipal experience preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience working with building departments or construction-related permits is highly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience

The anticipated salary range is the expected hiring range for this role in New Mexico is $17.19 - $20.23. Final compensation will be based on an evaluation of each candidate''s qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated capabilities, and work location.
