Job Title: Product & Test Development Engineer – PMIC
Location: San Diego CA
Duration 12 months

 
Job Description
We are looking for a Product & Test Development Engineer – PMIC to support the development, characterization, and commercialization of advanced Power Management IC (PMIC) and Analog ASIC technologies.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Design and debug test interface hardware/load boards
  • Develop and debug test software/programs
  • Perform hardware/software integration and first-silicon debug
  • Conduct PMIC device-level characterization and module verification
  • Develop characterization plans and analyze test data
  • Generate test limits/guard bands
  • Drive failure analysis, yield improvement, and test-time reduction
  • Support product bring-up, manufacturing, reliability, and quality initiatives
  • Collaborate with Design, System, Foundry, Yield, Reliability, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred
  • Strong understanding of digital, analog, mixed-signal, power management, and RF circuits
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Hands-on experience with PMIC measurement and characterization, including:
  • Line/load regulation
  • PSRR
  • Transition time
  • Power efficiency
  • Jitter
  • Phase noise
  • Experience with ASIC/device-level characterization
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, source/power meters, battery emulators, and spectrum analyzers
  • Strong troubleshooting and failure-analysis skills
  • Programming experience with Python, VB, Perl, or similar languages
  • Statistical data analysis experience
