Summary
Results-driven regulatory compliance professional with a Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline and 3–5 years of experience in product stewardship, regulatory affairs, chemical compliance, or related technical roles. Expertise in Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring, GHS hazard classification, dangerous goods transportation regulations, and chemical data management. Proven ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements, communicate technical information effectively, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure global compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels in compliance with GHS and global regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct hazard assessments and classify substances and mixtures to ensure accurate hazard communication.
  • Author and update Poison Centre Notifications (PCNs) and product registration documentation.
  • Develop and execute SQL scripts to extract, transform, validate, and analyze chemical and regulatory data.
  • Collaborate with IT and regulatory system providers to optimize database structures, improve data quality, and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Support high-volume SDS and labeling projects, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
  • Lead SDS, labeling, and PCN redevelopment activities for strategic business initiatives, including product rebranding, legal entity changes, and market reintroductions.
  • Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to obtain and verify product composition and regulatory data.
  • Support regulatory compliance activities associated with product divestitures, acquisitions, and new product introductions.
  • Generate reports, automate compliance tracking, and provide data-driven insights to support regulatory decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical, regulatory, product stewardship, or consulting environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex technical and regulatory information.
  • Proven success working independently and within cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
  • Experience with SAP and regulatory compliance systems, including UL WERCS.
  • Expertise in global Dangerous Goods regulations, including DOT, IATA/ICAO, IMDG, and ADR.
  • Strong knowledge of Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements, hazard classification, and SDS/MSDS development.
  • Experience authoring and maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product labels, and Poison Centre Notifications (PCNs).
  • Proficiency in SQL scripting for data extraction, transformation, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience managing chemical and regulatory data within enterprise databases.
