We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead technology enhancements supporting expanded and overnight trading hours. This role will partner with surveillance, engineering, testing, and business teams to ensure surveillance capabilities adapt to changing trading patterns, increased volumes, and evolving market activity.
The Product Manager will drive requirements, prioritize enhancements, coordinate testing, and manage delivery across multiple workstreams. Experience in financial services, capital markets, trading technology, or surveillance is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product requirements and technology enhancements supporting expanded and overnight trading activity.
- Partner with surveillance teams to identify and implement new threat scenarios specific to overnight trading.
- Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and development priorities.
- Coordinate updates to surveillance report cards and reporting capabilities based on changes to pattern outputs.
- Lead capacity and performance testing using projected overnight trading-volume scenarios.
- Evaluate testing results and coordinate resolution of performance, scalability, and processing concerns.
- Develop and coordinate UAT plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria with surveillance business partners.
- Track UAT results, defects, risks, and remediation activities through implementation.
- Partner closely with engineering, data, QA, surveillance, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Manage product backlogs, priorities, dependencies, milestones, and delivery risks.
- Communicate project status, decisions, risks, and dependencies to technical and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or technology delivery.
- Experience managing complex technology initiatives involving multiple technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong requirements gathering, user story development, backlog management, and prioritization skills.
- Experience coordinating UAT and managing issues through resolution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working with software engineering, data, and testing teams in an Agile environment.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and workstreams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within financial services, capital markets, securities trading, or regulatory technology.
- Understanding of trading markets, market structure, and extended-hours or overnight trading.
- Experience with market or trade surveillance platforms and processes.
- Familiarity with surveillance patterns, alerts, reporting, or risk-detection systems.
- Experience supporting high-volume, data-intensive platforms and capacity or performance testing.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar product management tools.
