Role Summary

The Product Manager will lead strategic initiatives within a critical payments ecosystem, driving product vision, roadmap development, and execution for payment processing capabilities. This role will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and external partners to ensure scalable, reliable, and efficient payment experiences.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of payment technologies, authorization workflows, and transaction processing while successfully managing initiatives from discovery through delivery. This individual will play a key role in optimizing payment performance, enhancing system capabilities, and supporting long term product strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product roadmap, backlog, and prioritization for payment processing initiatives
• Lead product initiatives from discovery, planning, and requirements gathering through implementation and release
• Define and prioritize features related to payment authorization, transaction routing, processor integrations, and gateway enhancements
• Partner with engineering teams throughout agile development cycles including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and releases
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate requirements into actionable product solutions
• Analyze transaction performance data to identify opportunities for improving authorization rates, system reliability, and customer experience
• Work closely with external payment providers, processors, and vendors to support integrations and ongoing enhancements
• Evaluate tradeoffs, risks, and dependencies to ensure product investments align with business objectives

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of Product Management experience with ownership of product roadmaps and feature delivery
• Strong experience within payments, merchant services, card processing, payment technology, or related financial transaction environments
• Deep understanding of payment authorization flows, transaction routing, payment processors, gateways, and transaction lifecycle management
• Experience working closely with software engineering teams in agile development environments
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear product specifications and priorities
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience using data to drive product decisions
• Experience managing cross functional stakeholders across technical and business teams
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills

Preferred Skills

• Payment gateway product experience
• Experience supporting processor integrations and payment ecosystem enhancements
• Knowledge of enterprise scale transaction environments
• Background in highly complex digital commerce or transaction processing platforms
• Experience improving authorization rates, transaction success metrics, or payment performance
