    Delta is on a journey to become a world-class retailer, changing the way Delta can sell and service flight and ancillary products and improve the overall customer experience. To achieve this goal, Delta's Retail Strategy is to consistently offer, sell, and service high quality personalized products in the customer's channel of choice.

    Delta's current system of record for purchases limits how we deliver and service enhanced product offerings. To solve this problem, Delta is creating a new system of record that requires a robust and flexible order data model. The order management data model will serve as the source of truth for all products sold and attributes of products needed to fulfill and service for the customer. To guide this effort, the Enterprise Solutions (ES) team is seeking a Product Manager - Order Data. The Product Manager will collaborate on designing, delivering, and maintaining proprietary data products that result in the improved ability to sell and service products for Delta Air Lines. The role partners across Delta and vendors to identify opportunities, define requirements, provide insights, prototype products, and deliver end-to-end solutions.

    We are looking for candidates who have a passion for data, are motivated by solving problems, exhibit curiosity to understand current processes, and can think creatively to identify solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to determine requirements for order data.
    • Work with business and IT partners to translate business requirements into usable and reliable data solutions.
    • Analyze and use data to guide development roadmaps.
    • Drive implementation of data solutions.
    • Collaborate with other teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
    • Communicate progress to leaders and stakeholders.
    • Maintain a pulse on industry efforts, disruptive technologies, and champion solutions to further Delta''s position as industry leader

    What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

    • At least 5+ years of work experience in a Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Analysis, Statistics or Product Manager Role.
    • BA/BS or advanced degree in a process or project management discipline such Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering
    • Ability to understand large, unstructured data sets.
    • Understanding of data modeling and modern software architecture styles.
    • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity as well as sound analytical and communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels
    • Shown success in understanding and improving complex processes.
    • Capable of managing multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
    • Focused on results and can prioritize competing interests with seemingly disparate goals.
    • Uses data to quantify problems, identify trade-offs and develop solutions.
    • Communicates in a timely, accurate and effective manner.
    • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position
    • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
    • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
    • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

    What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

    • Experience in building or leading data design in a Retail capacity
    • Relevant working experience in Retail Order Management, Booking, Ticketing, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
    • PNR, Order, Booking and/or Ticketing knowledge
    • Experience in at least one commercial or operations function such as Reservations, Airport Customer Service, eCommerce, Revenue Management or Sales
    • Knowledge of revenue management theory or airline systems/data
