Position Description:
Design and release engineer for rocker moldings, supporting rocker molding design and development, with additional responsibility for body scope oversight across related components/systems.
Skills Required:
Design Release Engineer
Experience Required:
Must possess an understanding of how to design & release injection molded plastics automotive systems components.
Experience Preferred:
Previous Client experience is preferred. Previous experience in exterior systems design & release is also preferred. Know how to design & release a rocker molding system to meet North American legal requirements, understand the Client design and release process, understand Client GPDS, and know how to provide feedback during feasibility checkpoints. Possess an understanding of rocker molding/exterior trim system requirement. Experience managing or coordinating body scope oversight across cross-functional teams and suppliers is also preferred, including tracking program timing, part maturity, and issue resolution across the body system.
