Play a direct role in advancing innovative spinal implant technologies

Job Description

Gather, organize, and analyze feedback from surgeons and clinical users regarding implant systems and surgical instruments. Identify opportunities to improve product performance, usability, ergonomics, and procedural workflow. Translate clinical observations and user feedback into clear engineering requirements and development priorities. Collaborate with R&D, design engineering, manufacturing, and external partners to implement product improvements. Support the evaluation of prototypes, tooling, and production-ready designs. Maintain documentation related to product enhancements, design revisions, and feedback tracking. Assist with design verification, validation activities, and testing initiatives. Contribute to the development of training materials, product instructions, and surgical technique resources. Support regulatory submissions, design control processes, and risk assessment activities. Participate in cross-functional project meetings and ensure customer and clinical feedback is effectively incorporated into development programs. Help drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience within medical device product development or engineering. Experience supporting orthopedic, spinal, surgical, or implantable medical device products is highly desirable. Understanding of clinical procedures, surgical workflows, or operating room environments. Ability to convert user feedback into practical engineering solutions and product improvements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience collaborating across multiple functional groups. Working knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent platforms. Familiarity with design controls, usability engineering, risk management, and product development processes. Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to documentation and problem-solving.
