Description

  • Gather, organize, and analyze feedback from surgeons and clinical users regarding implant systems and surgical instruments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product performance, usability, ergonomics, and procedural workflow.
  • Translate clinical observations and user feedback into clear engineering requirements and development priorities.
  • Collaborate with R&D, design engineering, manufacturing, and external partners to implement product improvements.
  • Support the evaluation of prototypes, tooling, and production-ready designs.
  • Maintain documentation related to product enhancements, design revisions, and feedback tracking.
  • Assist with design verification, validation activities, and testing initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials, product instructions, and surgical technique resources.
  • Support regulatory submissions, design control processes, and risk assessment activities.
  • Participate in cross-functional project meetings and ensure customer and clinical feedback is effectively incorporated into development programs.
  • Help drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within medical device product development or engineering.
  • Experience supporting orthopedic, spinal, surgical, or implantable medical device products is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of clinical procedures, surgical workflows, or operating room environments.
  • Ability to convert user feedback into practical engineering solutions and product improvements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience collaborating across multiple functional groups.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent platforms.
  • Familiarity with design controls, usability engineering, risk management, and product development processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to documentation and problem-solving.
