Description

  • Develops and implements procurement strategies for key commodities and spend categories to optimize purchasing power and achieve financial objectives for a business unit.
  • Sources and evaluates suppliers, negotiates contracts, and maintains relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
  • Manages the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements and provides guidance and support throughout the procurement process.
  • Monitors and analyzes market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Maintains records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information, and generate reports on performance.
  • Implements and enforces procurement procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and standards.
  • Mentors, coaches, provides feedback and evaluates the performance of Buyers as required.
  • Collaborates with leaders to establish short and long-term supply chain objectives.
  • Leads cross-functional teams.
  • Supervises and coordinates a team of Buyers, Senior Buyers by regularly meeting them and by discussing strategies to achieve the targets assigned by Supply Chain.
  • Develops and maintains the updated Procurement plan and project KPI.
  • Discusses and reviews the procurement plan, on a weekly basis, with the project team.
  • Evaluates vendor capabilities, reliability, and financial stability for qualification purposes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
