Process Technician

Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay: $25–$30/hour, DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8–10 hour shifts, based on production needs
Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Position Summary

A growing manufacturing team is seeking an experienced Process Technician to support production operations, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency. This hands-on role works closely with engineering, operations, and production teams to optimize processes, maintain documentation, support lean initiatives, and provide technical guidance to production staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, and troubleshoot machinery, automation, and mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and control systems to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and other process documentation.
  • Support safety initiatives, Gemba walks, corrective actions, and compliance efforts.
  • Facilitate Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track production metrics and maintain visual performance boards.
  • Assist with production scheduling and process improvements.
  • Train and mentor team members on processes, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and leadership to implement process enhancements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing or process improvement experience.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with PLC/HMI systems and basic programming preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position involves working in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled manufacturing environments. PPE is required in designated areas. The role requires extended periods of sitting or standing, along with occasional walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees may be required to lift a minimum of 10 lbs. Occasional weekend work may be required based on production needs.
