Job Overview
We are seeking a Process Engineer Pharmaceutical Packaging to provide onsite engineering support for pharmaceutical packaging operations within a cGMP manufacturing environment. The role involves troubleshooting and optimizing high-speed packaging lines, improving process efficiency, supporting equipment installation and integration, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing reliability and production output.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite engineering support for pharmaceutical packaging operations.
Troubleshoot and optimize high-speed packaging lines to improve throughput and reduce process inefficiencies.
Analyze manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement sustainable process improvements.
Support production trials, machine testing, equipment performance evaluations, and process changes.
Evaluate packaging equipment, automation systems, serialization technologies, and integrated manufacturing processes.
Support installation, start-up, commissioning, and integration of new packaging equipment and production lines.
Troubleshoot PLCs, controls, and packaging automation systems.
Support serialization activities and packaging system improvements.
Assist with qualification activities, protocols, batch record development, and technical documentation.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation related to process improvements and capital projects.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Technical Services, and Manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges.
Work directly on the manufacturing floor to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or packaging engineering.
Experience working in a pharmaceutical or other regulated cGMP manufacturing environment.
Experience troubleshooting and optimizing manufacturing or packaging equipment.
Experience anhalyzing production processes, identifying bottlenecks, and improving throughput.
Understanding of integrated equipment, automation systems, and production processes.
Experience supporting production trials, machine testing, and process changes.
Experience supporting new equipment installation, start-up, commissioning, or line integration activities.
Ability to develop, maintain, and update technical and engineering documentation.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Technical Operators, and Technical Services teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
