Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Process Engineer General for a Contract with a client in Sterling Heights, MI. The ideal candidate will Drive manufacturing process improvements by leading machining operations, equipment implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.

Rate Range: $42/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Process Engineer General Responsibilities include:

• Lead and support manufacturing process engineering activities for axle carrier machining operations.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and process efficiency.

• Manage manufacturing equipment projects, including installation, commissioning, and process validation.

• Conduct process audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with operational standards.

• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and quality control procedures.

• Identify production constraints and implement lean manufacturing solutions to improve throughput and reduce variability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing process engineering experience in a high-volume production environment.

• Strong experience with CNC machining processes, lean manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proven knowledge of Six Sigma, FMEA, PPAP, DOE methodologies, process validation, and manufacturing equipment/project implementation.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
