    Position Overview

    Blue Owl is seeking an Associate / Analyst investor to join the Direct Lending Team. Our Credit platform currently has over $91.3B of AUM and comprises a team of seasoned investment professionals with significant and diverse experience from some of the world’s leading investment firms and financial institutions.

    We seek to provide our investors with attractive risk-adjusted returns by originating, executing, and managing investments, including senior secured, subordinated, or mezzanine loans and equity-related instruments. The team works with borrowers across industries and sectors with a focus on serving as the capital partner of choice for leading private companies. Our relationship-oriented approach to investing provides companies with sizeable commitments to facilitate transactions and support their growth needs with certainty, speed, and transparency throughout the entire investment

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze potential investment opportunities and engage in all aspects of due diligence / business analysis to develop and refine investment theses

    • Complete due diligence including review of investment target information and data room, industry research, financial modeling, financial statement review, interaction with management, use of consultants, review of third party reports, etc.

    • Prepare analysis and memorandums used for internal discussions and formal investment committee approval processes

    • Participate in deal team discussions and presentations with investment committee

    • Liaise directly with private equity funds, management teams, and third party due diligence providers during deal origination and underwriting process

    • Participate in the transaction closing, which includes legal documentation and funding operations

    • Perform ongoing due diligence and monitoring of portfolio companies; communicate updates to the investment committee (orally and written)

    Qualifications:

    • 1-4 years of experience in investment banking (industry coverage, M&A, leveraged finance, or financial sponsors groups are preferred, but not required), private equity, or private credit

    • Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail

    • Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate, and form independent judgments

    • Strong interest in investing

    • Team player with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity to learn more

    • Strong accounting and corporate finance knowledge, and financial modeling aptitude (required)

    It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $120,000 to $150,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
