Description

Kforce's client, a well-established law firm, is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join its Accounting Department in Roseland, NJ. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the billing process for assigned attorneys, including transfers, write-downs, write-offs, time entry adjustments, rate issues, client inquiries, and invoice preparation
  • Handle high-volume electronic billing activities, including client setup, invoice submission, accruals, appeals, collections, and related correspondence
  • Maintain and update billing rates within the system, including the creation and management of rate sets
  • Prepare and distribute billing and financial reports
  • Build strong working relationships with attorneys, administrative staff, and firm leadership
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to meet monthly and annual billing goals
  • Document and maintain billing communications within the firm's document management system (iManage)
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of law firm billing experience
  • Experience with electronic billing platforms and client billing guidelines
  • Proficiency in Elite 3E, eHub, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
