    Qualifications

    Candidate will have BSCE degree, California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer is preferred, but not required; plus, a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in land development and/or public works; or the equivalent work experience of eight (8) years in the industry.

    Qualified candidates will also have a minimum of two (2) years of supervising the work of engineers, designers, and other project support staff.

    Candidates for this position must demonstrate:

    • Ability to prepare grading and public improvement plans from conceptual design to final documents to support residential, multi-family and corporate campus development
    • As well as preparation and processing of technical studies and site plans to obtain entitlements for land development projects
    • Ability to prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for public infrastructure improvement plans, such as street, sewer, and storm drains
    • Site assessment, the ability to perform engineering design studies (incorporating infrastructure requirements and potential regulatory issues)
    • Preparation and processing of regulatory plans
    • Ability to prepare/process plans through Los Angeles and Ventura Country Public Works
    • Ability to perform constructability reviews
    • Experience with a range of construction support services

    Must have knowledge of:

    • Jurisdictional codes, standards & procedures preferably in the Los Angeles area
    • AutoCAD and Bluebeam experience is required

    Additional Skills:

    • Exhibits a thorough understanding of jurisdictional processing
    • Accepts and responds appropriately to constructive feedback from others and applies seasoned time management
    • Relates well and maintains a high level of respect and confidence from co-workers and public agencies
    • Demonstrates a high level of competence in written and oral communication
    • Ability to prepare exhibits, studies and final plans
