Preconstruction Manager

Job Description

Develop and manage project budgets and schedules during the preconstruction phase. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to align project scope and design requirements. Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and value engineering options. Lead preconstruction meetings and maintain effective communication with clients and project teams. Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals for accuracy and completeness. Ensure adherence to project timelines and identify potential risks or delays. Provide technical expertise and recommendations to improve project outcomes. Support the transition of projects from preconstruction to construction phases.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Preconstruction Manager should have: 5-10 years of experience as a Senior Estimator or Preconstruction Manager. Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring estimating teams. Background in large-scale commercial construction projects. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills with a team-first mindset.

What's on Offer

$120,000 - $160,000 base salary + bonus potential. Vehicle allowance of approximately $650/month. Discretionary bonuses typically ranging from 10-20% plus profit sharing opportunities. 401(k) match, company-subsidized health insurance, and 3+ weeks PTO plus holidays.
