Precision MIG/FCAW Fabrication Technician

Hours: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
About the role
Join a fast-moving fabrication team producing high-quality welded assemblies that meet rigorous safety and quality standards. You’ll interpret technical drawings, set up equipment, execute precise welds, and help maintain a safe, efficient workspace.
Core responsibilities
- Read/interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine build sequences and requirements.
- Perform welding and metal fabrication using appropriate processes to achieve dimensional accuracy and finish standards.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools while adhering to safety procedures.
- Inspect and test welds and structures to verify compliance with quality criteria.
- Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot fabrication issues and improve throughput.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and uphold safety best practices.
- Assist with coaching and mentoring less-experienced welders/fabricators.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical credentials preferred.
- Demonstrated welder/fabricator experience in manufacturing or construction.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, base materials, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Capability to lift and maneuver heavy materials; sustained physical stamina.
