Description

The Practice Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of both the Oral Surgery Department and the Oral Surgery Group Practice. This position manages four Surgical Assistants, four Patient Care Coordinators and two Patient Coordinators. The Practice Manager is responsible for developing and managing an environment that fosters teamwork among the staff and faculty while providing excellent customer service to our patients and students. This includes, but is not limited to, interacting with all staff and faculty employees on various operational matters while assisting with the development and implementation of the annual goals of the Oral Surgery Department.



Required Skills
  • High School Diploma Required bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Preferred Prior experience as a Practice Manager in a Dental Group Practice Setting required; or experience working in a Group Practice Model in a Dental School preferred.
  • Prior experience in supervising staff employees required.
  • Must be able to review and discuss a treatment plan with patients and have strong understanding of dental terms and procedures.
  • Must be proactive and demonstrate critical thinking skills in order to problem solve.
  • Must be organized with attention to detail and with the ability to multi-task and set priorities for yourself and your staff. Must be able to communicate effectively both written and oral.
