Description

Clinical: Practice Assistant
Salem MA 01970

Temp-to-Perm: 3-month contract period prior to potential FTE conversion.
Urgency: Immediate start (1–2 weeks post-offer/onboarding clearance). Manager seeking pipeline/candidate submissions prior to the weekend.
Reason for Opening: Backfill due to employee departure.
Role & Department Details
Work Location: 100% Onsite | 81 Highland Ave, Salem, MA (free parking available + free shuttle services)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Manage and schedule appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits for patients.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee patient registration, check-in, and check-out procedures, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, equipment, and other clinic resources.
  • Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns, resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to develop and implement clinic policies, procedures, and protocols.

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and other clinic management software.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree required
Degree in Healthcare Management or a related field
Experience cannot replace the education requirement.

Required Experience
3–5 years of Clinic, Office, or Hospital experience
3–5 years of Administrative Office experience
Preferred Experience
2–3 years of Leadership/Supervisory experience
