The University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI), a university-level applied research organization operating out of the Office of Research and Innovation at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Postdoctoral Research Associate at UTARI will conduct applied research and development in one of the following technical areas:
They will be responsible for applying theory and engineering techniques to the design, modeling, and/or development of novel systems and/or conduct experimental testing and analysis as applied to one of the technical areas listed above.
Responsibilities also include: identifying relevant funding opportunities; contributing to or leading writing efforts on proposals, publications, reports, and presentations; developing academic and industry collaboration partnerships; and maintaining awareness of current technological advancements related to your field.

The University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI) serves as a distinguished applied research organization committed to bridging the gap between academic discovery and real-world application. Established in 1987 as the Automation & Robotics Research Institute through a collaborative initiative involving the Fort Worth Chamber, UTA, the State of Texas, the Jack Newell Family, and numerous other donors, UTARI is now an essential component of UTA's Office for Research and Innovation. It fosters innovation in critical sectors such as biomedical technologies, automation, unmanned systems, and composite material structures.
Situated on a 13-acre site owned by UTA in Fort Worth's Riverbend Business Park, UTARI boasts a 48,000 square foot facility that includes 14,000 square feet of specialized laboratory space. These labs are outfitted with millions of dollars' worth of advanced equipment for machining, rapid prototyping, 3D printing, composite materials manufacturing, and indoor testing of unmanned systems, positioning UTARI as a hub for innovation in the region.
As a university-level research institute, UTARI actively collaborates across UTA's various colleges, fostering interdisciplinary research and innovation. The institute engages with universities, national laboratories, and industry partners throughout North Texas and across the nation, driving impactful research initiatives.
UTARI also serves as the host of the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC), a member of the national Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program. This public-private partnership provides comprehensive, proven solutions to help small and medium-sized manufacturers enhance growth, improve operations, and mitigate risks.
