    Job Overview

    The Porter is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials between sites, transporting boats and trailers, operating forklifts (including large-capacity up to 30K), and handling deliveries and pickups from vendors. This role supports production and operations by ensuring timely and accurate material handling while maintaining a focus on safety and professionalism.

    Responsibilities

    • Transport materials between company sites and designated locations.

    • Safely tow and maneuver boats and trailers as required.

    • Operate forklifts, including heavy-capacity forklifts (30K), to move and position materials.

    • Pick up and deliver materials, equipment, and supplies to and from vendors.

    • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles.

    • Ensure proper handling, securing, and documentation of materials during transport.

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, equipment, and work areas.

    • Perform basic inspections of vehicles, forklifts, and trailers to ensure safe operation.

    • Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and DOT requirements.

    • Support additional material handling and logistics tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

    • Experience operating forklifts, including large-capacity (30K) forklifts.

    • Ability to tow and maneuver boats and trailers safely.

    • Knowledge of safe material handling and transportation practices.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

    • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required.

    Physical Demands:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

    • Occasional standing and walking within the office

    • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment

    • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports

    • Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies

    • Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
