Plant Administrative Assistant

Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary

The Plant Administrative Assistant serves as the primary administrative support for a manufacturing plant in Kennesaw, GA. This role works closely with the Senior HR Manager, Senior Plant Manager, and Operations Team to support daily plant operations. Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment activities, assisting with onboarding and employee engagement initiatives, maintaining records, and providing administrative support across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for plant administrative functions.
  • Support HR and Operations with general administrative duties and special projects.
  • Assist employees with administrative needs, including submitting self-service tickets.
  • Facilitate and coordinate team meetings as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Prescreen resumes and coordinate interview scheduling with the Operations Team.
  • Assist with onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and events.

Data Management & Recordkeeping

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within SAP and other business systems.
  • Maintain employee training, development, and compliance documentation in accordance with company record retention policies.
  • Coordinate and audit interdepartmental training programs, ensuring records remain current and accurate.

Compliance & Regulatory Support

  • Assist leadership in maintaining and updating regulatory systems related to OSHA, EPA, Quality Management Systems (QMS), company policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Support compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with audits and documentation reviews as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of data entry experience required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including:
    • Word
    • Excel
    • Outlook
    • PowerPoint
  • Manufacturing administrative experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
