Position: Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney

Location: 111 Broadway, New York, NY

Schedule: Fully onsite - flexibility for hybrid

Interview Process: 2 rounds, preferably in person; Zoom available when needed

Position Overview:

·       The firm is seeking a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney with at least one year of relevant experience.

·       This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to strengthen their litigation and trial skills while working closely with firm partners.

·       The attorney will manage their own files while assisting partners on complex matters and active trials.

·       The firm has significant upcoming trial work, making this a strong opportunity for an attorney seeking additional courtroom experience.

·       The attorney will work closely with an experienced attorney through November while receiving hands-on guidance from the firm's partners. Attorneys can also receive incentives tied to trials and files assigned as they take on additional responsibility.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Manage plaintiff personal injury cases from inception through resolution

·       Conduct discovery, depositions, motion practice, and case preparation

·       Prepare matters for trial and assist with active trials

·       Work directly with partners and senior attorneys

·       Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and trial

·       Analyze liability, damages, medical records, and case strategy

·       Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions

·       Maintain organized and timely case files

·       Take increasing ownership of matters as experience develops

 

Ideal Candidate

·       1+ year of plaintiff personal injury experience

·       Personal injury litigation experience, preferably in construction/labor law, auto, premises liability, or workplace injuries

·       Trial experience or meaningful trial-preparation experience preferred

·       Strong interest in developing as a litigator

·       Able to manage a busy caseload independently

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Organized, motivated, and eager to learn from experienced trial attorneys
