    Korzen Health seeks a full-time Physician (MD/DO) to join our independent wound care center in the Newport News, VA area..

    Provider will ideally work at 2 sites (Williamsburg, VA and Newport News, VA) Schedule will be split between the two sites. Provider may also cover additional sites in Virginia.

    This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinic and is exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. PRN shifts will depend on current provider availability/PTO.  PRN shifts will depend on current provider availability/PTO. Our standard work hours are daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts, on-call responsibilities, holiday hours, or weekend hours.

    This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatric patients. The successful candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in their core specialty and possess a strong procedural background with recent experience. Experience with minor procedures such as suturing and incision and drainage (I&D) is required, and procedural case logs will be requested as part of the credentialing process. Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training are available. A full clinical team will be in place from the start date.

    Scope of Practice Highlights:

    • Full Team support includes Case Manager, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses, Office Manager, and Front/Back End Support.
    • We offer advanced wound-care treatments to promote healing, including: Cellulitis therapy, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infection management and prevention, wound cleaning, and wound dressing.
    • Standard work hours are daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts, on-call responsibilities, holiday hours, or weekend hours.

    • A full 60 hour training program will be provided.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • MD or DO degree

    • Must be Board-Certified

    • Clear and Active State Medical License and a DEA License
