Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide emergency medicine coverage in an inpatient setting with shifts available 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 
  
• Majority of coverage need is for night shifts, with some day shifts required - must be willing to work approximately half day and half night shifts
• 
  
• 10-12 shifts per month required with flexibility on scheduling depending on provider availability
• 
  
• 12 guaranteed hours per day with no overtime expected as providers typically leave on time and pass patients to the next physician on schedule
• 
  
• Must be comfortable with intubating patients
• 
  
• General emergency room setting with approximately 15 patient encounters per shift
• 
  
• Newborn deliveries are received in the ED
• 
  
• 24-hour support services on site include anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, and radiology
• 
  
• Trauma Level 4 facility
• 
  
• Board certification or eligibility required (ABEM highly preferred; FM or IM trained providers with extensive EM experience will be considered)
• 
  
• Active DEA required
• 
  
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS; NRP highly preferred
• 
  
• Clean file preferred (no malpractice history, clean NPDB)
• 
  
• Interviews conducted with Medical Director via phone call
