Pharmacy Technician – 2nd Shift (Evenings) | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Madison Heights MI 48071 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $25.72/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | 1:30 PM–10:00 PM
Every other weekend required | Rotating holidays
Pharmacy Technician – 2nd Shift (Evenings) | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacy Technician supports daily pharmacy operations under the supervision of a Pharmacist by assisting with prescription fulfillment and IV preparation workflow. This role also helps ensure accurate data entry for prescription processing, supports inventory tasks (receiving/rotation/expiration tracking), and helps maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Job Responsibilities
Pharmacy Technician – 2nd Shift (Evenings) | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fill prescriptions and support IV preparation workflow under Pharmacist supervision
- Enter and maintain accurate data in pharmacy systems to support prescription processing and reimbursement
- Assist with pre-packaging/labeling of medications in accordance with standards and regulations
- Support the Pharmacist with the final-check workflow (as assigned), including
- staging/packaging for final review and coordinating timely delivery
- Assist with inventory best practices (receiving, rotating stock, documenting lot numbers/expiration dates, and supporting inventory counts)
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment; assist with routine equipment checks for calibration, safety, and cleanliness
Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician – 2nd Shift (Evenings) | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Must be a licensed pharmacy tech in the state of MI
- Previous tech experience required.
- Ability to work on-site and in a fast-paced, process-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with computer/data entry tasks
