Required License/Registration/Certification
Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements
This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens.
Shift
Currently operating out of Chandler Retail Pharmacy. Position supports Meds To Beds service which currently rotates shifts between 7:00am - 7:00pm, Monday through Friday and rotates weekend shifts during hours of operation. The position does require some holiday rotation. Hours and shifts work may change based on the needs of the service. May work either 7on/7off or 5×8hr shifts.
Job Summary
This position provides opportunities to work in a fast-paced, challenging, diverse and rewarding environment. As an integral part of the healthcare team, the Meds to Beds technician will have a home base in the outpatient pharmacy and under the direction of a pharmacist will help coordinate, fill, and dispense prescription orders in preparation for discharge bedside delivery. Our Pharmacy Senior Technician I's are key to identifying process improvements in the medication distribution process that align us with our quality improvement and safety initiatives. Competitive candidates will be able to effectively triage and communicate with patients, nurses and providers in order to minimize transition of care issues and delays in prescription access for patients transitioning from an inpatient stay to home. Assists pharmacist(s) with M2B prescription processing and distribution to patients / families within the Chandler or Good Samaritan hospital(s). This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process should your application be selected to move forward. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience.

Hospital/retail pharmacy technician and/or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
