Remote Pharmacist Highlights
Pay: $53.00 per hour
Schedule options (local time zone):Mon–Fri 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, OR
Sun–Thu 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Training: Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CT for 5 weeks (camera-on required)
Location: Fully remote (work from home / anywhere in the U.S.)
Type: W2 Temporary, 40 hours/week

Responsibilities
Review and complete clinical criteria for prescriptions / prior authorizations according to policy and procedure.
Review patient profiles for drug interactions, sensitivities, and appropriate usage; determine when physician clarification is needed.
Communicate with patients and physicians by phone/mail regarding prescriptions and therapeutic interventions.
Enter prescriptions into the system and perform final dispensing accuracy checks (dose/accuracy).
Support quality assurance, controlled substance security, and proper disposal of hazardous medications.
Work collaboratively with pharmacy team members to ensure accuracy, safety, and timely resolution of orders (including working an external adjudication queue as assigned).
Requirements
Active Pharmacist license in your state of residence (include license number + expiration date on resume).
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or PharmD required (per client requirements).
Retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred (Pharmacy Manager experience is a plus; otherwise 2+ years as Staff Pharmacist with the same employer is preferred).
New grads considered if you can demonstrate leadership (residency/fellowship/initiative experience).
Avoided profiles: unexplained employment gaps and frequent job changes (every 4–12 months) without explanation.
PBM / Prior Authorization experience is NOT required (but if you have it, 1+ year in a PBM setting handling Prior Auth is helpful).
Remote Work / Technology Requirements (Must Meet)
Provide your own high-speed internet: minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload
Include a speed test screenshot from speedtest.net on the resume and list: internet provider + download/upload speeds
Smartphone required (VPN token will be installed on your phone)
Dedicated private workspace (secure; conversations/screens cannot be overheard/viewed by others)
Camera-on participation during training and team meetings
Able to maintain privacy/security standards while working from home
