A-Line Staffing is now hiring Pharmacist/Clinicians – Prior Authorization!

We are seeking experienced Pharmacists with strong, sustained PBM and Prior Authorization experience for a fully remote opportunity. This role is ideal for pharmacists who have demonstrated long-term success in high-volume PBM, managed care, health plan, or comparable environments.

Location: Fully Remote – Continental U.S.
States Excluded: New Mexico and Colorado

Compensation & Highlights
$54.22 per hour
Fully remote position
Work from anywhere in the continental U.S., excluding New Mexico and Colorado
Clinical Prior Authorization review
High-volume provider/member interaction
Opportunity to utilize clinical pharmacy knowledge in a managed-care/PBM environment
Active Pharmacist license required
Strong preference for candidates with 2+ years of Prior Authorization experience
Sustained PBM, Managed Care, or Health Plan experience strongly preferred
Specialty Pharmacy experience is a plus
 
Schedule
Candidates will work one of the following schedules:

Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday

10:30 AM–7:00 PM CST
11:00 AM–7:30 PM CST
11:30 AM–8:00 PM CST

Training
November 9, 2026 – December 4, 2026

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST
Candidates must be available for the entire training period and able to work their assigned schedule following training.

Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and review Prior Authorization requests and render coverage determinations based on clinical criteria and plan design.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Interpret clinical guidelines and apply appropriate clinical knowledge.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding PA requests.
• Communicate approval and denial determinations promptly to providers, health plans, members, and other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with technicians and Prior Authorization team members to process referrals.
• Collect appropriate clinical and medical information required for PA reviews.
• Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls with physicians, providers, members, technicians, and internal teams.
• Answer inquiries and resolve escalations related to Prior Authorization requests.
• Support Specialty and Non-Specialty Pharmacy programs.
• Maintain current knowledge of drug and disease states.
• Document clinical decisions and communications accurately.
• Participate in training, development meetings, projects, and other assigned duties.
• Provide on-call/after-hours pharmacist availability for urgent PA requests as needed.
