PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Bentonville AR 72712 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $65.75/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday,   9:00 AM–5:30/6:00 PM
  • Weekend coverage: Saturday and Sunday approximately once every 3 weeks
  • On-call: Optional; typically very low phone volume

PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Pharmacist will be responsible for safely and accurately dispensing medications, counseling patients, monitoring medication therapy, preparing compounded and sterile medications, supervising pharmacy staff, and maintaining compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative pharmacy environment.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accept, review, and accurately dispense prescription medications.
• Ensure medications are appropriate for patients and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential medication overuse or other concerns.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Counsel patients regarding medications, including proper administration, potential reactions, side effects, and other medication-related questions.
• Provide consultation regarding prescription and non-prescription medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Provide patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the proper use and handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for internal and external use.
• Prepare sterile solutions in accordance with appropriate procedures and safety standards.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Clerks.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Identify patient drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
