About Our Client
This personal injury firm has about 20 paralegals and 20 attorneys. It's an onsite role in Midtown Manhattan.
Job Description
Assist attorneys in preparing and managing personal injury cases, particularly those involving premises liability. Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and provide case updates. Conduct legal research and draft correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents. Coordinate with medical providers to obtain and review medical records and bills. Assist in preparing cases for trial, including organizing exhibits and trial documents. Schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings as needed. Ensure compliance with legal deadlines and court requirements.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Personal Injury Paralegal (Premises) should have:
- 3+ years of experience as a personal injury paralegal, ideally with exposure to premises liability specifically.
- Strong understanding of NYS and NYC statues, court rules, and legal procedures.
- NYS Notary Public license (or willingness to obtain one)
- Bilingual in Spanish is a strong preference
- Familiary with SmartAdvocate is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and legal professionals.
- A detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in documentation and case management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully onsite position.
