Personal Care assistant

The Personal care Assistant (PCA) within the scope and certification of a PCA/CNA in the home area of assignment and demonstrates consistent practice when temporarily assigned to related assignments and homes. Provides care and services to multiple populations served and admitted to thir homes area of assignment as determined by the patient/resident need for home care and services.

Major duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assisting clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Mobility & Transferring: Safely assisting clients with walking, wheelchair transfers, bed repositioning, and fall prevention.
• Home Management & Nutrition: Preparing tailored meals, light housekeeping, laundry, and running errands/shopping.
• Health & Safety Monitoring: Taking vital signs, tracking health or behavioral changes, and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Documentation: Maintaining daily care logs, charting activities, and reporting changes to supervisors or medical teams
• • Work Schedule: The shift will be days, with night rotation if needed.
