What You’ll Do:- Provide expert perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgical patients
- Assist in complex cardiac procedures, including endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting in surgeries
- Manage ICU and surgical floor patient care, perform rounds, and evaluate patients in CVICU, clinic, and hospital settings
- Participate in clinics twice weekly and see additional patients as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Develop comprehensive care plans and follow-up strategies
- Prescribe medications following policy and regulations
- Perform bedside procedures appropriate for cardiac surgical patients
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Operate independently under physician supervision with strong clinical judgment
- Demonstrate flexibility, effective problem-solving, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
What You Need:- Active Physician Assistant license in Colorado
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, dynamic environment
