What You’ll Do:
Provide expert perioperative care to cardiothoracic surgery patients
Assist in complex cardiac procedures, including vein harvesting and surgical assistive tasks
Manage ICU and surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluations
Participate in clinics and operating room coverage, Monday through Friday
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, physicians, and healthcare professionals
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and labs
Develop and execute comprehensive care and follow-up plans
Prescribe and manage medications per policy
Perform bedside procedures appropriate for adult cardiac patients
Ensure accurate, thorough clinical documentation
Operate independently under physician supervision, demonstrating strong clinical judgment
Complete ongoing CME to maintain and enhance skills
What You Need:
Valid Colorado Physician Assistant license and certifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU management
Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
