    Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

    Up to $15,000 Sign-on Bonus and $5,000 Relocation Assistance available to eligible candidates (see terms below)

    Terms: 12-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation 

    Sign-on Eligibility:

    • One (1) year of applicable experience

    • Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible 

    Relocation Eligibility:

    • Must live 50 miles outside of campus address

    • Rehires that are less than 12 months from separation date are not eligible

    Unit Highlights:

    • Pediatric Cardiac ICU caring for congenital heart patients pre/post-op, including caths, EP studies, and complex cardiac conditions

    • 15-bed unit with strong patient outcomes, 2–3 week average LOS, and flexible nurse-to-patient ratios (1:1–1:3 based on acuity)

    • Highly skilled, collaborative team of 70+ members including RNs, ECMO specialists, ANMs, and PCTs

    • Magnet-designated unit with award-winning patient experience, advanced cath lab, and strong focus on education, mentorship, and professional growth

    Schedule: Full Time

    Shift: Days, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm with rotating weekends

    Location: 601 E Rollins St, Orlando, FL 32803

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Documents comprehensive clinical assessments, including diagnostic testing and functional status.

    • Uses unique knowledge regarding extracorporeal circulation to plan, deliver, and evaluate individualized care for neonatal and pediatric patients.

    • Invests time and energy in developing self and others through teaching, coaching, and role modeling.

    • Develops and documents patient-focused short and long-term goals that are functional and measurable.

    • Identifies the need for and refers patients and families to other services as needed.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Sound clinical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to make decisions ethically and act as a patient advocate.

    • Understanding of ECMO equipment, products, and systems.

    • Adept at initiating and administering complex therapeutic interventions.

    • Ability to be accountable and committed to quality and safety.


    Education:

    • Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]

    • Master's of Nursing [Preferred]


    Work Experience:

    • 1+ critical care or palliative care experience for patients with life-limiting or life-threatening illness [Preferred]

    • 1+ teaching/preceptor experience [Preferred]

    • 1+ ventricular assist device experience [Preferred]

    • 2+ experience as an RN, RRT, ECMO specialist or coordinator, nurse practitioner or physician assistant in an acute-care setting within the last five years [Required]


    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] OR

    • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) [Required] 

    • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] 

    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) [Required] 

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

    Pay Range:

    $34.71 - $64.55
