 PCBA Quality Technician

 

Location: Buford, GA

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 2:30PM-11PM (OT as needed)

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00/hour (DOE)

 
 

Overview:

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented PCBA Quality Technician to support quality operations within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspecting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), identifying defects, and ensuring all products meet customer and industry quality standards prior to shipment.

 
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections of PCBAs, subassemblies, and finished products
  • Inspect soldering, component placement, polarity, and workmanship to IPC standards
  • Identify and document defects such as cold solder joints, bridging, missing components, or damage
  • Utilize microscopes, magnification tools, and testing equipment for detailed inspections
  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and ISO requirements
  • Maintain clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S practices
 
 

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection within electronics or PCBA manufacturing
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards (certification preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and work instructions
  • Experience using inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, and multimeters
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects quickly and accurately
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
 
 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in SMT and/or through-hole assembly environments
  • Knowledge of ESD handling procedures
  • Exposure to AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) processes
  • Previous experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hands for fine motor tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
