Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager for a dynamic organization. This role is responsible for overseeing payroll processing, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle payroll, ensuring accuracy in wages, overtime, and deductions
Reconcile payroll and benefits with accounting systems and maintain compliance (taxes, W-2s, ACA, etc.)
Oversee HRIS/payroll systems, including data integrity and process improvements
Administer employee benefits and lead open enrollment
Manage leave programs (FMLA, ADA) and workers compensation
Support audits and ensure compliance with all employment regulations
Serve as a point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries and partner with internal teams

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of payroll and benefits experience
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and HRIS systems
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
High attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or related certification
Experience in education, nonprofit, or similarly structured organizations
Familiarity with retirement plan administration and compliance
Multi-lingual abilities are a plus
