Patient Services Representative
Redding, CA
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

SUMMARY / DUTIES:
  • The Patient Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients at an outpatient medical facility in Redding, CA.
  • Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, scheduling appointments, updating the Electronic Health Record, and supporting patient intake processes.
  • The role also assists with completion of healthcare and insurance forms, collects payments for services, and responds to patient and family questions with clear, professional communication.
  • This position works closely with healthcare providers and administrative teams to support efficient patient flow and accurate documentation.
  • The representative must maintain confidentiality, follow applicable organizational and regulatory requirements, and may assist with specific departmental tasks or orientation of other staff.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1+ years of patient services, medical front office, patient access, or healthcare administrative experience
  • Experience with patient registration, check-in, and demographic and insurance verification
  • Experience with scheduling patient appointments in an outpatient healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and accurate patient record updates
  • Experience with healthcare and insurance forms, intake documentation, and payment collection
  • Ability to communicate professionally with patients, families, healthcare providers, and staff
  • Ability to maintain patient privacy and follow organizational, state, and federal healthcare requirements
  • Ability to work onsite in Redding, CA; candidates must be located in Shasta County
  • Ability to work a full-time day schedule, five 8-hour shifts, generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with revenue cycle or patient access workflows
  • Experience working in an outpatient medical facility or clinic
  • Proficiency in handling multiple patient-facing and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience orienting or assisting other staff with departmental processes
