Position Title: Part-Time Maintenance Technician

Job Classification: 12-month employee

Reports to: Director of Facilities

Position Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician at the WeTeachTruth Schools, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure at Lake Country Lutheran. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and with others.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, with hands-on expertise in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations as required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other facility equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and repair needs in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and management to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing all tasks.
  • Provide on-call support for emergency maintenance issues as needed.
  • Support the building expansion project and efforts at Lake Country Lutheran.

Other Job Functions:

  • Snow removal.
  • Preventive maintenance inside facilities.
  • Athletic field preparation - striping, grooming, set-up for events.
  • Grounds work - mowing, weed removal, trimming, leaf removal, and maintenance of equipment.
  • School event set-up and take down.
  • Maintain mechanical systems.
  • Other duties to be determined by Director of Facilities.
