Position Summary
The Part-Time Esports Coach is responsible for launching, coordinating, and leading Drake State Community & Technical College's pilot competitive gaming (esports) co-curricular program. This role supports student engagement, retention, and workforce readiness by providing structured competitive gaming experiences that emphasize teamwork, leadership, academic accountability, and career-ready skill development. The coach will oversee practices, competitions, and student development while working collaboratively with Student Services and institutional partners.
Salary: Appropriate placement on Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees
Hourly Wage: $30 per hour - Part-time - Maximum of (15) hours per week
Campus Hours: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Friday
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The part-time Esports Coach shall perform the duties as specified in conformity with policies established by the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and the J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College Faculty and Staff Handbook.
