This role will lead contract review and negotiation, oversee contract management processes, advise on commercial risk, and support policy development and governance.This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys working closely with business teams, managing high‑volume contracting, and providing practical, solutions‑oriented legal guidance in a dynamic environment.Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:Commercial ContractingDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including:customer, distributor, and reseller agreementsmarketing services agreements and SOWsvendor, supplier, and manufacturing agreementsservice, consulting, and marketing agreementsNDAs, amendments, renewals, and termination agreementsIdentify and advise on legal, financial, and operational risks and propose practical solutionsPartner directly with sales, marketing, finance, procurement, and operations teams to support business objectivesDevelop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and standard clausesContract Lifecycle ManagementOversee and optimize contract workflows within the contract management (CLM) systemEnsure efficient intake, review, approval, execution, and record‑retention processesTrack key contract terms, obligations, renewals, and expirationsDrive process improvements and legal operations best practicesPolicy & GovernanceDraft, review, and update internal policies and procedures related to commercial operationsSupport governance, compliance, and internal controls initiativesEnsure consistency between contracting practices and internal policiesGeneral Commercial Legal SupportProvide day‑to‑day legal support on a variety of commercial and operational mattersCollaborate cross‑functionally with legal, regulatory, quality, and business teamsYou'll need the following (minimum qualifications):Required:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction5–8+ years of relevant experience in commercial contracting (in‑house or law firm)Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreementsStrong ability to independently identify and assess legal and business risksExperience working with contract management systems or similar toolsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferredIn‑house experience supporting a supplements, CPG, food & beverage, or regulated industryFamiliarity with customer onboarding, credit review, or commercial risk processesInterest in legal operations and process improvementCore CompetenciesStrong commercial judgment and business‑oriented mindsetAbility to balance legal risk with business needsHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environmentCollaborative, proactive, and solutions‑driven approachA reasonable estimate of the current base hourly range for this position is $100 to $130. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
