Part Time Classroom Support Assistant

Disclaimer: This position is part-time and is scheduled for 10 hours per week. Funds for this position are expected to be available up to the end of the school year. In addition to other specified conditions of employment, the applicant understands that no guarantee of continued employment, beyond the availability of the 2026-2027 school year, is expressed or implied by Coppell Independent School District.

The part-time classroom support assistant will provide instructional support in collaboration with the classroom teacher and/or instructional coach to meet individual needs of learners.

• Demonstrated knowledge of best instructional practices

• Experience working with students

• Teacher credentials preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to work with all children

• Ability to follow detailed verbal and written directives

• Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to use personal computer and software

• Experience working with school aged children preferred

• Provide instructional support in collaboration with the classroom educator and/or instructional coach to meet the individual needs of learners.

• Work one-on-one or in small groups with learners.

• Communicate the results of any assessments and general observations of learners to educators, counselor and school administrators as needed.

• Participate and/or communicate as part of the instructional team to identify learner progress and instructional needs.

• Use the time clock to track hours worked.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
