Job Details
What You'll Do
Order, review, and analyze title commitments, exception documents, and surveys, and flag issues for attorneys
Prepare title and survey objection letters and work with title companies to resolve open items
Coordinate closings from start to finish with title companies, lenders, brokers, and opposing counsel
Draft and assemble closing documents, including deeds, assignments, affidavits, and closing checklists
Manage document execution and signature pages, and track deliverables to keep deals on schedule
Review settlement statements and coordinate funding and recording
Handle post-closing items, including recorded documents, title policies, and closing binders
Support attorneys on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing transactions
What You Bring
3+ years of paralegal experience in a commercial real estate practice at a sophisticated law firm (CRE-only experience strongly preferred)
Strong title and survey review skills
Proven experience running closings and working directly with title companies and transaction parties
Excellent organization and the ability to juggle multiple deals with tight deadlines
Clear, professional communication with clients, lenders, and outside parties
Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree preferred
