Packaging Graphic Designer to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $30/hr - $35/hr
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Packaging Graphic Designer to create and execute packaging artwork across multiple formats. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and production accuracy. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while supporting production and vendor requirements.
Responsibilities of the Packaging Graphic Designer:- Design and execute packaging artwork for boxes, trays, labels, and other printed packaging materials.
- Prepare production-ready files and artwork mechanicals for manufacturing and print vendors.
- Create and update artwork on dielines, ensuring compliance with print specifications.
- Develop 3D packaging mockups.
- Collaborate with Packaging, Marketing, Product Development, and Production teams to deliver projects on schedule.
- Review physical samples and proofs to ensure design accuracy and print quality.
- Retouch and optimize photography and packaging graphics as needed.
- Work closely with overseas printers and packaging vendors to support production requirements and artwork modifications.
- Ensure brand consistency across all packaging materials and product lines.
- Support multiple concurrent packaging projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Required Experience/Skills for the Packaging Graphic Designer:- 1 - 3+ years of packaging graphic design experience.
- Experience developing packaging artwork for retail, consumer products, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of packaging production processes, print specifications, prepress, color separations, and file setup.
- Experience creating and managing artwork on mechanical dielines.
- Knowledge of various packaging formats, including cartons, trays, labels, and other printed materials.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
- Experience with 3D software such as Rhino.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Packaging Graphic Designer:- Familiarity with packaging sustainability practices and materials.
- Experience working with international vendors and Print Production teams.
- Knowledge of additional 3D design software or packaging prototyping tools.
- Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field is required.
